Mary Immaculate College offers a vibrant international study abroad programme to students from more than 50 partner universities & colleges in North America and Australia and hosts over 70 international students annually. We have long-standing partnerships with US universities such as: Frostburg State University in Maryland; Le Moyne College in Syracuse, New York; Longwood College in Virginia; Loyola University in Chicago; Regis University in Denver, Colorado; Thomas More College in Kentucky and the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.

Recent partnerships include: University of San Francisco; DeSales University, Center Valley, PA; Sacred Heart University, Connecticut; Gannon University, Erie, PA; Niagara University and Neumann University, Aston, PA. Mary Immaculate College is also a partner to the Australian Catholic University in Melbourne. Students may choose to study for one semester or two at MIC on an academic program that is relevant to their home study. Foundation Course

The Foundation Certificate is a programme for mature students who wish to continue their education with a view to progressing to third level. The part-time course extends from October to May. Students attend lectures on two evenings per week and two Saturdays per term. The course equips students with the necessary skills to benefit from, and participate in, a third-level educational course and builds up confidence in a supportive learning environment. The course provides students with an introduction to a selection of Liberal Arts subjects: History, English, Language and Linguistics, Geography, Media and Communication Studies, Philosophy, Theology and Religious Studies; Study and Writing Skills and Information Technology. For successful completion of the Foundation Certificate, students must demonstrate satisfactory attendance and performance in all elements of the programme. Students who are awarded a Foundation Certificate with Merit are granted direct access to the Liberal Arts Degree Programme in Mary Immaculate College.
